2010 MYSTATE FINANCIAL TRIATHLON SERIES

Series Presentations – Saturday 15th May

ANNUAL DINNER AND AWARDS PRESENTATIONS

Members and sponsors will gather this Saturday evening to celebrate the end of another successful season and recognize our top performers for 2009/2010.

AWARDS

Thank you to all the people who sent nominations for the 2009/2010 Awards, these will be presented at the Awards & Celebrations on Saturday night.

SPECIAL MEETING

The special meeting for Triathlon Tasmania will take place at the Ulverstone Civic Centre at 5pm on Saturday 15th May. The meeting is for members of Triathlon Tasmania to vote on the proposed change to the constitution regarding the board of management. The aim of the proposed change is to allow each affiliated club to have equal representation on the Triathlon Tasmania Board and share the workload of the board around the state. TECHNICAL OFFICIALS

If you have been a Level One TO for a year a level 2 TO Course is to be held in Launceston at The Northern Vocational School on Sunday 10th October.

STATE DUATHLON CHAMPIONSHIPS

The 2010 MyState Financial Tasmanian Duathlon Championships will be held on Sunday 3rd October at the Tasmanian Police Academy in Rokeby. Thanks to Tri South who have put their hand up to run the event. Stay tuned for more details.

COACHING

If you would be interested in attending a Level 1 Triathlon Coaching Course in the near future please email your name, address and contact number to triathlontasmania@gmail.com. The course is run over a weekend and a assessment follows to complete the accreditation.

JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT

In 2010 Tasmanian Clubs have taken the reins to coordinate junior development in their local regions. Supported by Fairbrother, each club will go about providing juniors with the encouragement they need to enjoy the sport of triathlon, please contact your club for more details of the 2010 junior development program in your area.
